Greenlight Communities, a Scottsdale-based company focused on what it calls “attainable” housing, recently closed escrow on 8.8 acres on the Southeast corner of 150th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard in Goodyear.

The onset of COVID-19 in mid-March could not have come at a more inopportune time for apartment operators. The sector’s spring and summer peak leasing season was set to begin, but stay-at-home orders largely restricted apartment communities from providing tours to prospective tenants.

Scottsdale-based Greenlight Communities broke ground on Cabana on Power, a 244-unit multifamily development in Mesa. The site is located at 6151 S. Power Rd. and the “attainable” housing project is expected to fill the void between affordable and luxury apartments.
