Robert Lyles Greenlight Communities

Robert Lyles co-founded Greenlight Communities in 2016 and currently serves as its CEO and Chief Investment Officer. His vision to provide rental housing tailored specifically to the needs of entry-level and essential workers, while operating without public funding, has been key in establishing Greenlight Communities as an industry leader. As of May 2024, Greenlight has invested over $1 billion in completed and ongoing developments across Arizona. Under Robert’s leadership, Greenlight has delivered over 4,600 attainable rental homes through 19 projects, either completed or under construction. In 2023, the company was recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in the Valley by the Phoenix Business Journal.

Before founding Greenlight Communities, Robert co-founded Deco Communities and Starpointe Communities, where he played a pivotal role in shaping Arizona’s housing market. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, maintains an active Real Estate Broker license, and is a dedicated member of the Urban Land Institute. Robert is also a strong supporter of several charitable organizations.

Patt Watts Greenlight Communities

Patricia Watts co-founded Greenlight Communities in 2016 and plays an integral role in shaping the company’s strategic direction. With over three decades of experience in real estate and business operations, Patricia has been a driving force behind Greenlight’s success, helping to deliver over 4,600 attainable rental homes across Arizona. She is also a co-founder of Deco Communities and Starpointe Communities, both of which have left a lasting impact on Arizona’s housing market.

Patricia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and is a licensed CPA (Canada), with prior experience at BDO/Dunwoody in forensic accounting and management control systems. She splits her time between Phoenix, Arizona, and Vancouver, Canada, and remains actively involved in the Urban Land Institute, Lambda Alpha International, and various charitable organizations.

Dan Richards Greenlight Communities

Dan Richards co-founded Greenlight Communities in 2016, bringing over 25 years of experience in real estate acquisition and development. His expertise spans entitlement planning, design, value engineering, construction, and property management. In addition to Greenlight Communities, Dan co-founded Deco Communities, contributing to the development of attainable housing throughout Arizona. His extensive knowledge of the real estate industry has been instrumental in Greenlight’s delivery of over 4,600 rental homes to meet the needs of essential workers.
Since joining Greenlight’s partners in 2003 under Starpointe Communities, Dan has overseen more than $600 million in construction projects across Metropolitan Phoenix. Mr. Richards received his Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering degree from University of Notre Dame, where he was elected in Chi Epsilon. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with family, volunteering, tennis, golf, and all outdoor activities.
